Romanian Nuclearelectrica sells EUR 15 mln worth of electricity on local power exchange

Romanian state-owned company Nuclearelectrica, which runs the Cernavoda nuclear power plant, sold on Monday , April 28, energy worth RON 69 million (over EUR 15 million) on local power exchange OPCOM. The company got a 4.5 percent higher price compared to the asked level, reports local Mediafax.

Nuclearelectrica sold almost 0.4 TWh through several bids. The price asked for the entire amount of energy was of RON 66 million (or some EUR 14.6 million).

Nuclearelectrica plans to produce a total of 10.5 million MWh of electricity in 2014. The Romanian state is the major shareholder of the company.
