Romanian online retailer elefant.ro has expanded its operations in the Republic of Moldova. It has launched the webpage www.elefant.md and has opened a pick-up point for delivering products.

“Starting May 5, all customers in the Republic of Moldova will have access to most products that are sold via elefant.ro in Romania,” said Dan Vidrascu, Elefant Online general manager.

The delivery to Chisinau will demand no extra costs.

The investment fund Fribourg Investments controls the retailer. The fund is owned by Ion Sturza, former PM of the Republic of Moldova.

In 2014, the retailer saw a turnover of EUR 10.7 million, 68% higher compared to 2013.
