Romanian online retailer elefant.ro has recruited Serhan Kiymaz for the position of Director of Technology. He will be responsible for developing the retailer’s shopping platform and expanding it.

Kiymaz was previously IT Director at Markafoni, the largest online retailer in Turkey.

“I’ve chosen Romania because opportunities are huge here,” he said.

“I’ve witnessed the aggressive growth of online trade in Turkey and I know how fast a market can develop.”

He added that elefant.ro had a similar position and strategy to the ones that Markafoni had in Turkey, which helped the company reach the first position among online retailers.
