Romanian online retailer eMAG wants to reach 1 million products

eMAG Marketplace, the system through which partners display their own offers on eMAG.ro, will bring the online retailer a quarter of the total sales this year. The company wants to extend its product range to 1 million products by the end of the year.

Developing eMAG through Marketplace is a priority, because it increases the variety of products and the customer will be able to find everything in one place, said Iulian Stanciu, eMAG general manager. The company wants to reach over 1,000 sub-categories and over 10,000 brands by the end of 2015.

eMAG is the largest online retailer in Romania, and is owned by South – African fund Naspers. The retailer targets EUR 1 billion in sales by 2017, after it will pass EUR 500 mln in 2015.
