Romanian PM: We'll decide in autumn about new IMF agreement
Prime Minister Victor Ponta said on Monday, January 19, that the Government wants to end well the current agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The decision about a new agreement with the IMF and the form it would have will be taken in autumn.
"We now need to do an analysis of the structural reforms, particularly the private management application," Ponta added, cited by local Mediafax.
He said that the IMF will come next week, on January 27, in Romania, where it will carry out a "somewhat longer" mission.
“The budget adoption under the conditions discussed with our international partners was carried out,” Ponta said. “But we need to talk about the structural reforms,” he added.
