Romanian Post needs EUR 100 mln to upgrade services
The state-owned Romanian Post needs EUR 75 to EUR 100 million of investments in technology to provide services similar to the post in Belgium, Germany or the UK, and the state cannot offer such funds, which would be considered state aid, said the Romanian minister of communications, Razvan Cotovelea.
“We’re moving forward with the privatization process, but there is no time pressure, as the Romanian Post stays on its own feet and is growing,” said the minister, cited by local Hotnews.ro.
According to him, another big player in Europe is preparing to buy the privatization file, which might happen by the end of this month.
