Romanian Post’s new service allows users to send personalized postcards
State-owned postal operator Posta Romana (Romanian Post) has launched a new service that gives users the possibility to send personalized postcards directly from the company’s website.
Via the new service called MyPostcard, the users can send postcards directly from their phones or laptops, without having to go to postal offices.
To send a personalized postcard, the user has to go on Posta Romana’s website, click on the MyPostcard section, upload the photo, write a text, and add his address and the receiver’s address. The payment will be done online, with a bank card.
Next, the digital cards created by the clients are sent to the Stamp Factory where they are printed, sorted, and sent by post.
“MyPostcard is an innovative service that connects the traditional mail, on paper, with the IT&C technologies, and addresses to customers who are using mobile devices frequently, in their day to day life,” said Irina Purcaru, manager of the operations and commercial relations department.
The users can choose from two versions of the MyPostcard service. One of them is MyPostcard Basic, via which the postcard is sent by post without priority and without being put in an envelope. The tariff is RON 3.8 for deliveries in Romania and RON 6 for international deliveries, and the time of delivery is maximum six days.
The second one is called MyPostcard Premium. Via this service, the postcard is sent by post, with priority, in an envelope. The price is RON 5.7 for deliveries in Romania and RON 18.9 for international deliveries, and the delivery takes maximum three days.
Romanian Post records gross profit of EUR 2.7 mln in 2016
