Romanian President Klaus Iohannis will meet with the European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker on Thursday, January 15, during his visit in Brussels, reports local Mediafax.

Iohannis will also have meetings with the European Council President Donald Tusk, and the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg.

The European Commission spokesman Margaritas Schinas recently told the Romanian newspaper Gandul that the President Klaus Iohannis and the EC President Jean-Claude Juncker will discuss next week in Brussels about the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism (CVM).

Iohannis said last week, at a meeting of the Superior Council of Magistracy, that one of the major objectives of the judiciary should be the removal of the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism (CVM).
