Romanian President Klaus Iohannis will meet on Thursday, February 26, the German President Joachim Gauck and the Chancellor Angela Merkel.

The visit will take place at the Bellevue Palace in Berlin, the official residence of the President of Germany, reports local Digi24.Gauck will hold a lunch in honor of Romania’s President.

Iohannis will start at 3 pm (CET) the formal talks with Merkel, which will focus on the bilateral relations, the Ukraine and Moldova situations and the evolutions in West Balkan.

The visit was initially scheduled for February 11, but was postponed as a sign of respect for the funeral of former President Richard von Weizsäcker.
