Romanian president: Some presidential candidates are undercover agents and should come forward with this
Some of the candidates who will be running in the presidential elections this fall have not filled in their CVs and have not said whether they have worked as undercover agents of any secret service, Romania’s President Traian Basescu said on Tuesday, September 9, in a TV show on B1 TV news station.
He added that if those candidates won’t come clean about their secret commitments then he will expose them himself as he doesn’t think it’s fair to take such a job, of country president, if one is reacts to "two buttons".
He mentioned that secret services are forbidden by law to expose their undercover agents but that candidates have the obligation to come clean with this. When he was asked if there are candidates who have hidden things in their CVs, he said “Yes!”
