Romanian President to address Parliament, meet IMF and visit France
Romanian President Klaus Iohannis has a busy week ahead of him.
He will start by addressing the Romanian Parliament on Monday afternoon (at 16:00), for the first time since he was sworn in. Then, on Monday evening he will welcome the representatives of the international financing institutions (the IMF, the World Bank and the European Commission).
The President will make an official visit to Paris, on Tuesday, February 10, and Wednesday, February 11. During this visit he will meet the President of France Francois Hollande.
Klaus Iohannis was also supposed to go to Germany this week, but he postponed his visit as a sign of respect for the former German president Richard von Weizsäcker, whose funerals will take place on February 11.
On February 12, Klaus Iohannis will attend the European Council in Brussels. He was also invited to the European People’s Party (EPP) Summit, which will take place before the European Council.
