Romanian President visits Ukraine
Romanian President Klaus Iohannis began on Tuesday, March 17, his official visit to Ukraine, where he met his counterpart Petro Poroshenko.
Iohannis’ visit is a symbolic one: it is Romania’s first official visit in the last seven years, said Poroshenko.
Romania wants to be a partner for Ukraine and share from its experience gained in the process of joining the EU and NATO, said Iohannis.
When asked if Ukraine has received military support from Romania, Poroshenko said that Ukraine has contracts for defensive weapons with 11 countries but does not want to specify any name.
Both Romanians and Ukrainians want a Kiev-Bucharest flight, and authorities will solve this issue in the near future, said the Ukrainian president.
