Romanian private healthcare operator Regina Maria to open Baneasa hospital in September

Romanian private healthcare operator Regina Maria will open its Baneasa pediatrics and gynecology hospital in September this year, which will include the existing maternity unit in the area. The investment in this hospital was previously estimated at EUR 10 million.

The private healthcare provider, formerly known as Centrul Medical Unirea, runs three medical campuses, six hospitals and 18 clinics in Bucharest and around the country, and works with 1,000 doctors. The company is controlled by investment fund Advent International, with 80 percent of the shares, and by its founder Wargha Enayati.
