Romanian producer Dacia launches EUR 9,500 Lodgy model at Geneva motor show
Romanian car maker Dacia launched its new Logdy model at the car show in Geneva earlier today (March 6). The car, with a starting price of EUR 9,500, is available in the five and seven seats versions. The new car will be available to clients in Romania from March 7.
The launch was the second most awaited for Romanians at the Geneva motor show, after the Ford B-Max model earlier the day. The new Ford model will be produced in Romania, but Dacia's Lodgy is being manufactured in Morocco.
Dacia is set for another launch this year. Later in the fall, it will reveal the new Dokker model at the Paris Motor Show, according to German media. The new Dacia model is expected to be cheaper than the Lodgy.
Meanwhile, Dacia Logan remains the most sold car in Romania last year, with 15,800 units sold, even though down 31 percent from 2010. Furthermore, French media says the carmaker is working on a car three times cheaper than Logan.
