Romanian products promoted in the European Parliament
Several Romanian products, such as the popular minced meat dish called mici, cheese, beer and wine, were “stars” in the European Parliament, where over 100 representatives of EU member states recently attended a conference on promoting traditional products. The conference was followed by a Romanian traditional products tasting, reports local Agerpres.
“We wanted to make an event at the European Parliament, where the Romanian mici, that on June 25 received the green light for sale on the European market, to be tasted by the participants,” said Daniel Botanoiu, state secretary within the Agriculture Ministry.
According to him, Romania’s mici are highly appreciated not only in Spain and Italy, where a large number of Romanians live, but also in other European countries.
“Therefore, I believe it can become a European brand, not only a national one,” added Botanoiu.
