Romanian Railways Company promises Bucharest-Constanta train trip will take 2 hours
A train trip from Romania’s capital Bucharest to the seaside resort Constanta will take two hours starting today, July 4, according to a statement of the national railway company CFR.
“As of July 4, 2014, four Interregio passenger trains, that will reach the maximum speed of 160 km per hour, will cover the distance between Bucharest and Constanta and back in two hours,” reads the statement.
The trains operate twice per day and will depart from Bucharest, at 09,00 and 16,00, and from Constanta at 13,10 and 19,20.
This comes after trains connecting Bucharest to the seaside have been making the trip sometimes even in four to five hours, because of speed restrictions, or track issues.
