Romanian Romsys sees business up 53% on the back of positive economic sentiment

07 March 2012

Romanian IT&C solutions provider Romsys, part of Austrian New Frontier Group, upped its turnover by 53 percent last year, to some EUR 64 million, after an even higher yearly growth – of 76 percent from the year before. The growth was backed by a better economic climate in the second half of 2011 and a positive forecast for 2012, which triggered more enthusiasm for investments in IT.

The company signed 60 contracts last year, with clients from the banking, utilities, telecom and FMCG sectors. It expects a growth of 10 percent for this year.

Founded in 1993, Romsys is a system integrator that employs 250 people. It was taken over by New Frontier Holding in 2007 from founder Marius Cojanu.
