The Romanian seaside will probably see the best year after the 1989 Revolution, according to Aurelian Marin, the former president of the Romanian Tourism Employers’ Association ANAT. He estimates a 5% increase in the demand for holidays at the Romanian seaside compared to the last year, writes local Capital.

The revenues could also increase, due to a higher number of all-inclusive rooms, up 2,000 over last year, and improvements in various accommodation units, according to Marin, who manages one of the top local tourism agencies specialized in holidays at the Romanian seaside.

In total, the Romanian seaside provides 5,000 all-inclusive rooms within 22 all-inclusive hotels. Mamaia, Eforie Nord, and Venus are the most popular seaside resorts.

The number of foreign tourists has also been increasing, with most of them coming from Israel, Germany, Italy, UK, and Poland.
