Romanian shoe retailer Il Passo expands with EUR 200,000 store in Craiova

Romania shoe wear retailer Il Passo will open its 11th store in the country, within the Electroputere Parc shopping mall in Craiova in March this year, following an investment exceeding EUR 200,000. The new store will cover 100 sqm and is the first of several planned by Il Passo.

The retailer was set up in 1999 and runs 10 stores in Romania. Its owners are private investors Petru Chiriac and Corina Gheorghita. Pestos, the company which owns the Il Passo brand, as well as the Tosca Blu brand, made a profit of EUR 47,000 in 2010 and had revenues of EUR 3.7 million the same year.

Electroputere Parc's other tenants are H&M, LC Waikiki, Douglas, Office Shoes, Killtec, Sensiblu, Gatta, Pet Center. The shopping center was developed by K&S Developments and opened in November last year, following an investment of EUR 90 million.
