Romanian singer Laura Bretan moves to America’s Got Talent semifinals
Young opera singer Laura Bretan was voted into the semifinals of the America’s Got Talent show on Wednesday, July 27.
After she impressed the competition’s jury in the auditions with her performance of the famous aria Nessun Dorma and got Mel B’s Golden Buzzer, she also convinced the show’s audience to vote her into the semifinals after she brilliantly sang Andrea Bocelli’s The Prayer.
“Thank you all for voting for me and for making my dream come true,” Laura Bretan wrote on her Facebook page. “Thank you especially to my Mom and Dad, my sister, brother, all of my extended family, my coach Nicoleta Roman, all of my friends and above all thank you God Creator of the Universe for blessing me with this talent that touches people's hearts and souls!”
The 14-year girl, who lives in Chicago with her family, also won the Romania’s Got Talent show at the end of May.
