Romanian song of the week: ‘Eskimo’ by Kumm
Romanian band Kumm’s ‘Eskimo’ is all about catchy beats and lyrics that stick in your head and put a smile on your face right after you listen to it. Kumm’s indie-alternative ode to feeling good is the second single from their upcoming sixth album, which is as yet unnamed. The first single was ‘Foul Play.’
Kumm are a Romanian alternative rock band, their lineup is Catalin Mocan (lead vocals, guitar), Eugen Nutescu (guitar, vocals), Iordache (saxophone), Kovacs Andras (piano, fender rhodes, synths), Utu Pascu (bass) and John Ciurea (drums). Since 1998, when the band was founded, Kumm have released five albums: “Moonsweat” (2000),” Confuzz” (2002), “Angels and Clowns” (2005), “Different Parties” (2006) and “Far From Telescopes” (2009).
