Romanian song of the week: Sonata in La Minor by ROA (Rise of Artificial)

22 November 2011

Romanian band Rise of Artificial (ROA) has launched a new song and a video that we choose to feature in this week's Romanian song article. The video of the song 'Sonata in La Minor' premiered on Tuesday on Music Channel.

If you've listened to their previous well known song 'Ne place' (We like it), you'll recognize ROA's jumpy, strong electronic beat, but a slightly less commercial song this time. Symphonic music joins dubstep in a song that has the potential to become a heavy rotation item on Romanian radios and music channels.

ROA is a musical project founded during the autumn of 2010, by two electronic music producers in Romania, Bogdan Popoiag (UNU’) and Cezar Stanciulescu (Junkyard)- both of them in picture. Stanciulescu is a former member of the Suie Paparude band. ROA added a new band member this year. Cristian Negriuc, the latest addition to the team, works on the electrical elements of guitar sounds.

The band launched its first album called 'Artificial' in May this year. We wrote about other ROA songs here and here (which also goes to say we at Romania-Insider.com like the sounds of this band).
