Romanian startup bought by largest 3D printing platform in the world
Printivate, a Romanian start-up founded by Cluj-based investor Adrian Muresan and one of the projects included in the first accelerator Spherik in 2014, was acquired by Amsterdam-based 3D Hubs, the most important platform dedicated to 3D printing in the world.
Printivate joined the first Spherik Accelerator program with the aim to develop a product for the optimization of 3D printing. During the Spherik program, Muresan created a technology that reduces the time and raw material necesary for printing by up to 65%.
Based on the initial feedback received on the market in Romania, Printivate transformed itself from a digital service dedicated to online platforms that sell 3D models into a tool that repairs 3D models, mainly dedicated to companies in the field of architecture.
Adrian Muresan will continue as Research & Development Lead at 3D Hubs.
