Romanian state-owned companies to direct 40% of donations to education
Romanian state-owned companies will give sponsorships or donations based on stricter rules, said Corneliu Calota, the Romanian Government spokesman, cited by local Economica.net.
New rules provide that such companies direct at least 40% of their donations to health, including equipping, minimum 40% to education or sports, including equipment, and maximum 20% for another type of activities.
The new provisions are part of an emergency ordinance amending and completing certain laws.
The same ordinance features a 95% tax reduction for hybrid transport for all companies, as well as obliges local authorities to provide school bus transport for more categories of students.
