Romanian state pays companies and students for internship programs
The Romanian state will pay over 100,000 students to undergo internships at companies in this academic year, according to the delegated minister for higher education, Mihnea Costoiu. The state will also cover the cost of salaries for employees who train the students.
“This year we’ll specifically invest money in students’ training in companies. We don’t just finance a training so that students can conduct their activities in a laboratory, but to carry their activities in a company, small or medium one, while we’re also investing money in the company. This means we offer the company the chance to be paid back, as salaries to the employees who will work and invest time in students, to show them what an equipment is, a machine, a know-how, a service and so on,” said the minister, reports local Wall-street.ro.
