Romanian state sells hotel in center of Suceava for EUR 2.4 mln
Administration of State Protocol Patrimony RA-APPS has sold the Gloria hotel located in the center of Suceava with EUR 2.46 million, VAT included.
The building, which hosts both a hotel and a restaurant, was sold through direct negotiation, after RA-APPS failed to sell the hotel in three public tenders in a row last year, reports local Profit.ro.
The assets were bought by two local firms who had bid jointly, namely Betty Ice, controlled by Vasile Armenean, and Calcarul Pojorata, controlled by Nicolae Troase. Troase is the president of the Suceava Chamber of Commerce whereas Armenean is one of its four deputy presidents.
The three-star Gloria hotel has an additional plot of 5,021 sqm.
RA-APPS hopes to get EUR 32.7 million from the sale of assets this year, but the estimate exceeds its results in recent years.
