Romanian Tax Agency’s expenses go down as collection increases
Romania’s Tax Agency ANAF spends RON 1.02 for every RON 100 (EUR 22.6) collected. The agency’s expenses went down by 4.6% in the first half of the year compared to the same period last year while the collected revenues increased by over EUR 1.7 billion compared to the first half of 2014, according to ANAF.
At the beginning of September, Gelu Diaconu, the Tax Agency’s president said that he suggested the Prime Minister Victor Ponta to reorganize ANAF by creating a body of specialists who would take over the coordination of the ANAF policies from the president.
The reorganization would lead to a bigger decisional autonomy.
