Romanian cable and mobile communications company RCS&RDS will launch a new service allowing its users to call unlimited, for free, via voice-over-IP, to any destination, if the receiver has the same software installed, irrespective of their actual mobile telephony service carrier. The company is thus trying to convince mobile telephony users to use its new system instead of the regular services provided by their mobile carrier.

The new service will be called Digi Oriunde (Everywhere) and will be available via software for Android, iOS and Windows Mobile for mobile phones with Internet access. It will offer unlimited calls to the users of the same software. RCS & RDS subscribers, via the mobile telephony account, can call any destination with the same tariffs and the same subscription. If users are abroad and have WiFi access, they can call using the same number and the VoIP technology, at local tariffs.

RCS &RDS, owned by is controlled by Romanian businessman Zoltan Teszari, was created 15 years ago and operates on the Romanian market, as well as in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia and Serbia. It offers cable TV , internet, fixed and mobile telephony services in 200 cities in Romania.
