Romanian tenor Marius Brenciu to open September Rosenblatt Recitals season in London
Romanian tenor Marius Brenciu (in picture) will open the 2011/2012 season of London’s Rosenblatt Recitals with a performance of songs and arias by Gluck, Giordani, Bellini, Mozart, Donizetti, Verdi and Tosti among others, scheduled for September, according to the organizers.
The Romanian tenor won first prizes in both the “Lied” and “Singer of the World” Competitions at the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition in 2001. He made his debut at the Met in 2008 with an overwhelming success in La Rondine and also performed in renowned productions such as ”La Traviata”, “La Boheme”,” Macbeth”, “Simon Boccanegra” and “L’Elisir d’amore”, among others.
