Romanian TotalSoft signs USD 4.2 mln consultancy contract for Saudi Arabia's Jubail refinery

Romanian software producer TotalSoft has recently signed a USD 4.2 million project management consultancy contract with Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company in the Saudi Arabia (SATORP), the company has announced. The contract will cover the next two years and will require ten TotalSoft engineers who specialize in the management of large oil and gas project. The TotaSoft team, together with ten other engineers from France, Italy, Asia and the Middle East will be planning, analyzing and reporting the construction for the Jubail refinery (in picture), one of the biggest refineries in the world.

The refinery will require an investment estimated at USD 9.6 billion. Upon completion, in 2013, the project will be among the biggest in the Middle East, with a production capacity of over 400,000 barrels a day.

TotalSoft has previously sold its project management system Primavera to SATORP. The Romanian company is part of the Global Finance group, which manages funds of over EUR 850 million.
