Romanian tourism group Eurolines ups turnover in first quarter
Eurolines Romania Group registered a turnover of RON 98 million (some EUR 21.7 million) in the first three months of 2014, up 39 percent against the same period in 2013.
Almost 80 percent of the turnover was achieved by Touring Europabus Romania, the company that owns TUI TravelCenter si Eurolines travel agencies, reports Wall-street.ro. The company recorded a 48 percent increase in turnover in the first quarter, to RON 77 million (around EUR 17 million).
In January-March 2014, Touring Europabus Romania recorded an increase of 65 percent in tourist package sales through TUI TravelCenter and Eurolines agencies, a 33 percent growth in plane ticket sales, and a 31 percent increase in international transport activity.
Last year, Eurolines Romania Group recorded a turnover of RON 330 million (almost EUR 75 million).
