16 November 2011

Romanian Tourism Minister Elena Udrea met the prince Charles of Wales on Tuesday evening, during Udrea's visit to London, according to the Minister. After this meeting, that took place at Clarence House, the prince's official residence, the Romanian minister also gave an interview for The Telegraph. “The visit I made to London  wasn’t just about having tea with Prince Charles, and I also had a meeting with some of the members of the Romanian community there,” Elena Udrea wrote on her blog.

Prince Charles of Wales has recently featured in the ‘Wild Carpathia’ documentary, filmed in Romania and broadcasted by Travel Channel. He also owns several restored properties in Transylvania, and says his genealogical tree shows he’s a descendent of Vlad the Impaler, so he has “a bit of a stake in the country,” according to the documentary. The Prince is a supporter of Romania, especially of the rural, unspoiled areas in Transylvania.
