Romanian Travel Agencies Association wants “First Pool” program
Alin Burcea, president of the National Association of Travel Agencies in Romania (ANAT), said that he would suggest the future Government to implement the “First Pool” program to support building one hundred indoor pools at the Romanian seaside in the next years.
This would extend the season, Burcea said. He gave the example of Bulgarian resorts, which have an average 1.3 pools per hotel, according to the ANAT president.
One of the problems faced by the Romanian seaside hotels is the lack of pools, Burcea said.
The future Government should get involved in this program, which should become a national one. Granting about EUR 3-4 million for the “First Pool” program would be no great effort for the state, according to Burcea. This average subsidy would be EUR 30,000-40,000 per pool.
