Romanian trumpet ace Emil Bizga to give jazz & classical fusion concert in Bucharest
Different genres will meet on stage at the Romanian Athenaeum, when musician Emil Bizga, the Philharmonic Orchestra and renowned musicians from New York, such as Xavier Davis – piano, David Baron- bass and Mark Whitfield Jr.- drums, will perform a classical and jazz fusion concert on November 27.
Emil Bizga, born in 1971 in Iasi, began classical training at the age of ten. He later moved to Bucharest to study at the Music Academy, and made his jazz debut at the Sibiu International Jazz Festival. Emil's sound made an immediate impression, and the Bucharest Radio Big Band invited him to become a member. He held the position of solo trumpeter for eight years, while also giving concerts throughout Europe and United States with top musicians (Ray Charles, Jimmy Cobb, Paquito D’Rivera).
Listen to Emil Bizga jamming at Tibo's Soul Club below. The money raised by the concert will be donated to two centers in Bucharest and Sinaia that between work with 60 teenagers, aged 16-18. The two centers provide support and offer training to help young people access the job market.
