Romanian Urgent Curier ups turnover by almost a third in 2013
Romanian courier services provider Urgent Curier, controlled by entrepreneurs Corina and Sebastian Balasescu, ended 2013 with a turnover of RON 116 million (EUR 26 million), up 28 percent against the previous year, due to the growth of online sales.
The company’s net profit reached RON 10.1 million (EUR 2.3 million).
“Last year we had 45,000 - 50,000 daily deliveries on average, up some 30 percent from last year. We grew because we have invested in new services, in technology, in network development,” said Adrian Grigori, the company’s national sales director, cited by local Ziarul Financiar.
The company was established in 2004 and employs over 790 people.
