Romanian used car dealers damage the state with over EUR 29 mln
The Romanian tax agency’s anti-fraud inspectors controlled 200 local used car dealers between April and June and found that they had withheld EUR 29.3 million worth of taxes.
The companies traded used cars brought from other European Union countries worth over EUR 224 million during this period, reports local Wall-street.ro.
The anti-fraud inspectors also found that 30% of these companies weren’t operating at the addresses where they were registered. They also discovered that six of these traders were registered in Bulgaria, but they belonged to Romanian citizens and were trading cars in Romania.
