Romanians are the most optimistic Europeans about the euro
About 68% of Romanians agree with adopting the euro, down 6 percentage points compared to 2014, whereas the European average reaches 49%, according to the latest Eurobarometer survey.
Despite the drop, Romanians remain among the most optimistic Europeans about the single currency.
Some 54% of the Romanians consider that adopting euro will have positive effects on the country’s economy, whereas 59% of the respondents believe that adopting euro will have positive effects on their well-being, compared to a 44% European average. 60% consider that the countries which already adopted euro did well.
