Romanians expect higher income, still can’t afford expensive goods
Romanians expect a lower unemployment rate and a higher income, due to the economic growth, but they can’t afford expensive goods, according to GfK’s “Consumer Climate Europe” survey.
In Romania, the general economic outlook recorded a minimal increase in the second quarter of the year, up to 4.2 points in June.
The reluctance to spend sharply contrasts with the sustained economic growth recorded in the last two years, show the study’s results.
The general consumer climate in the European Union rose by 4.1 points between March and June 2016, to 13.1 points. It is the highest level recorded after March 2008, when the level amounted to 16.8 points.
