Romania's communication authority ANCOM received last year 1,684 complaints from consumers, up 46% over 2013.

The users mainly complained about the relation with telecom operators. 45% of the notifications concerned contracts: duration, prolonging or ending them.

Most complaints addressed the communication services provided by the telecom operator RCS &RDS (18%), followed by Telekom Romania Mobile Communication - former Cosmote Romania(15%), Vodafone Romania (13%), Orange Romania (12%), Telekom Romania Communications - former Romtelecom (12%).

In 2013, ANCOM received 1,155 complaints. 17% of them concerned Orange Romania, 16% - Telekom Romania Communications and 14% - RCS&RDS.
