Three Romanians injured in Bologna truck explosion
Three Romanians were injured after a tanker truck carrying flammable material crashed into another truck and exploded on a crowded highway near the city of Bologna, in Italy.
Two people were killed by the explosion and dozens others were injured, including three Romanians, according to the local media. Two of them suffered minor injuries and were released from hospital while the third is still hospitalized in stable condition.
“The Consulate General of Romania in Bologna continues to monitor the situation and maintains permanent contact with the local authorities, the medical unit and the affected Romanian citizens, granting consular assistance, within the limits of the legal competences,” reads a press release from the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, cited by local News.ro.
