Romanians’ interest in Pokemon Go drops significantly in one month
The popular game Pokemon Go was officially launched in Romania in mid-July, and more than 1 million Romanians got informed about the game in the first month, according to an analysis conducted by Quantum Data Science.
Before the game was officially made available in Romania, more than 75,000 Romanians were already looking information about the game on local websites.
However, the interest dropped significantly in the first two weeks of August, when only a few thousand Romanians were still getting informed about the game per day, compared to more than 100,000 in the first week after launch.
More than half (56%) of those interested in the game are aged between 18 and 24, 23% are between 25 and 34 years old, 12% are in the 35-44 age category, and the rest of 9% are aged over 44. Based on gender, 86% of the users are men.
Most of the Romanians interested by Pokemon Go went online to seek information such as tricks pokemon go romania, where to find the rarest pokemons in the world, where to play pokemon go, and how to recover money paid for in-app purchases.
Some 500,000 Romanians installed the Pokemon Go app in the first week after launch, in both iOS and Android versions, according to the Quantum Data Science analysis. However, the downtrend is also visible in this situation, as the number of installations dropped from 12,000 per day to just 2,000.
For this analysis, Quantum Data Science monitored more than 600 Romanian websites.
