Romanians looking for jobs abroad eye agriculture, constructions, hotels

Romanians who want to work abroad aim for jobs in areas like agriculture, constructions and the hospitality industry, according to a recent study by Thera Group. Candidates aged between 18 and 25 would go for salaries between EUR 800 and EUR 1,000 a month, while those above 25 years old would settle for a monthly income between EUR 1,000 and EUR 1,500.

Most of the candidates for a job abroad are aged between 25 and 40 – 26 percent. Around 34 percent are aged over 40. Most of these people are specialists or qualified workers – 62 percent. The bulk of people interested in jobs abroad don't have university studies. 22 percent of them have primary school studies, 35 percent have finished high school and only 8 percent have finished university.

Thera Group's study was made on a sample of 1,080 people across Romania. The Romanian company specializes in recruiting for companies abroad.
