Romanians sell products worth EUR 1 mln on local classifieds platform in nearly two months
Nearly 15,000 Romanians sent or received products via the free delivery service of the Romanian classifieds website Tocmai.ro, from the launch of the service in mid-April this year. The total value of these products exceeds EUR 1 million.
The main categories of products sold on the site and shipped via the free delivery service are accessories, computers & accessories, beauty & personal care, clothing, footwear, games, products for mothers and children, parts & accessories, phones & gadgets, tv-audio-photo-video products, according to tocmai.ro.
The “free delivery and package verification” service gives sellers to possibility to deliver each month up to five products sold on the website, for free. Buyers have seven minutes to verify the received product before paying for it.
"Buyers can open the package and check the products, paying only if everything is in order,” said Andreea Trif, project manager tocmai.ro.
The service has been available on tocmai.ro since April 16. Using the service, sellers can deliver products they put for sale on the website throughout Romania, via FAN Courier.
The transport is free for packages that weight less than 10 kg, in the cities covered by FAN Courier, within the limit of five packages per month, for each user. For other areas, the price is calculated based on the weight of the package and the distance to the destination.
Tocmai.ro was established in 2009 and has grown to be the largest classified advertisements websites in Romania. It’s part of the Schibsted international group.
