Romanians spend 90 minutes a month at the theater, cinema, art galleries
Romanians allot on average only 90 minutes a month to go to the theater, the cinema and to visit art galleries. Meanwhile, reading, in their free time, takes only 13 minutes per day - or about six and a half hours a month.
Moreover, the time spent reading decreases with age, according to a National Statistics Institute survey, quoted by local news agency Mediafax.
Romanians spend on average some 39 minutes per day on visits, anniversaries, talks with family and friends, or phone conversations.
However, they allocate only three minutes per day, or 90 minutes per month, for entertainment and culture, such as theater plays.
Romanians also dedicate three minutes a day listening to radio, while for religious activities or political meetings, they allocate 15 minutes, reports Mediafax.
For sports and outdoor activities, Romanians spend on average 16 minutes per day. Children are the most active, with 41 minutes daily for sports or other outdoor activities, while people aged 15-24 allot only 31 minutes to these activities.
