Romanians who spent Easter break in resorts saved over EUR 2 mln on bad weather
Romanians who spent the Easter break in resorts saved half of the amount they were planning to spend, due to the bad weather that made them spend most of the time inside, according to an analysis made by the Federation of Employers from Romanian Tourism (FPTR), quoted by local Mediafax.
“Because it rained in many areas of the country, tourists stayed in their rooms and consumed the products they’ve brought from home. Thus, they’ve spent only half of the amounts allotted for these days, besides accommodation,” according to Dragos Raducan, vice president FPTR.
FPTR previously announced that the 90,000 Romanians that will spend the Easter holiday in resorts will spend RON 28 million (EUR 6.2 million) on accommodation and breakfast, plus another RON 21 million (some EUR 4.7 million) on various other expenses.
