Romanians win six medals at International Chemistry Olympiad in Yerevan
Romanian students won six medals at the D. Mendeleev International Chemistry Olympiad organized in Yerevan between May 3 and May 10.
Dumitru Calugaru and Andrei Iliescu got the gold medals. Calugaru got a perfect score. Both he and Iliescu also won gold medals at last year's edition of the competition, which took place in Moscow.
Paul Haidu-Gerea, Cristian Robert Raclea and Silvestru-Alexandru Big won silver medals and the bronze medal went to Tiberiu Alexandru Pana, according to the Romanian Ministry of Education. .
The competition involved a total of three tests with an extremely high degree of complexity. Two of them were theoretical and one was practical/experimental.
A total of 95 students from 15 countries attended the D. Mendeleev International Chemistry Olympiad.
