Romania's 2016 budget, based on an economic growth of 3.4%

The state budget for 2016 could be based on an economic growth estimated at 3.4%, an average annual inflation of 1.7%, and an exchange course of RON 4.44 per euro, according to a document of the Energy Ministry cited by local Profit.ro.

The country could have an economic growth of 3.7% in 2017 and of over 4% in the years to follow, according to the document.

The household consumption growth is estimated at 3.4% for 2016, whereas the growth in the public administration consumption is estimated at 3%. Investments will grow by 5.6% next year and by over 6% in the following years. Meanwhile, exports should go up by 5.8% in 2016, whereas the imports should increase by 6.8%, according to the document.

The number of unemployed will drop from 465,000 this year to 450,000 next year and to 435,000 in 2017.
