Romania’s animal exports topped EUR 1 bln in four months

Romania exported livestock and animal products worth EUR 1.05 billion in the first four months of this year, some EUR 178 million or 20% more than in the same period of 2013, according to data centralized by the National Statistics Institute (INS).
Animal imports stood at EUR 1.27 billion, only EUR 5.6 million higher compared to the first four months of 2013. The trade deficit on this segment was EUR 214.3 million.
