Romania’s Baneasa airport opens terminal for business passengers with EUR 2.5 mln investment
The International Airport Aurel Vlaicu (also known as Baneasa) located in North of Bucharest has recently opened a new terminal for business passengers with a EUR 2.5 million investment. The terminal has an area of 1,500 sqm, two boarding gates, and a capacity of 30,000 passengers per year.
“It’s a project that we’ve announced a year ago. The new terminal will serve the private flights given that starting March next year Baneasa airport will not host low-cost flights anymore, which will be moved to Otopeni,” said Anca Boagiu, the Transport Minister. The Baneasa airport will become a city airport for VIP flights, according to the Ministry’s plan.
The investment was financed by Compania Naţională Aeroporturi Bucureşti.
