Romania's budget draft for next year starts with a deficit of 3% of GDP
Romania’s next year’s budget, drafted by the former Finance Minister Eugen Teodorovici, estimates a budget deficit of 3% of the GDP and an economic growth of 4.1%, which will be stimulated by consumption and investments.
The budget draft took into consideration a GDP of about EUR 168 billion for the next year, reports local Mediafax.
The project includes all the approved salary increases, including the 25% wage increase for the employees in the public healthcare system, a 15% wage increase in education, and a 10% salary hike for the rest of the public sector employees.
The annual average inflation is estimated at 0.5% and the average exchange rate considered is RON 4.44/1 EUR.
